WEEK TEN Assignment Bank: Spooky Videos Paired With The Weeknd
This week one of the assignments we were given was to choose assignments from the “Video Assignments” section in the assignment bank. All of the assignments combined have to have a total of ten stars. The assignments I chose were “Where Do Your Shoes Take You?” (2 stars), “Discuss A Films Plot” (3 stars), and “Point Of View” (5 stars).
For this assignment I made a series of videos walking through different locations. I took different videos in my house and outside. I used the iPhone camera to record all of the videos. Then, I muted all of the videos and cropped at little bit in the beginning and ends of the videos in my camera app. After that, I put all of the videos into the InShot app so it would just be one video. I then uploaded the video on to Kapwing.com and added the background music from The Weeknd’s song Blinding Lights.
For this assignment I downloaded the Movavi Windows desktop application video editing software to create a voiceover for the first episode of The Vampire Diaries. I chose to do this assignment on this show because it’s my favorite show! I took me awhile to find the episode online for free! I screen recorded several scenes throughout the pilot episode and then cropped out some of the parts in my iPhone camera app. Then, I put each video into the InShot app to adjust the black canvas around the video so the screen would fit perfectly. I plugged in my phone to my laptop and uploaded all of the videos to Movavi. I am disappointed because the watermark will not go away unless I buy it, and I even tried another video editing software and it’s still the same thing. Also, my discord was going off so that’s why there are a few beep noises. I wrote out what I was going to say so it would sound more professional than just by winging it.
For this assignment I took a video from the point of view of a character who is entering a haunted room. Eventually, becoming attacked by a doll. I used my haunted house audio I completed during week five of this semester. I took my laptop and played the music in the background while acting out the scene, so the music and my timing would match up. I used my mom’s little jewelry box and my cousin’s soft doll as props. After recording on my iPhone I uploaded the video and audio onto Kapwing.com!
