Week Three Assignment Bank: Fortunes, Emotions, And All Love
This week one of the assignments we were given was to choose assignments from the the “Writing Assignments” section in the assignment bank. All of the assignments combined have to have a total of twelve stars. The assignments I chose were “Dear Future Husband” (2 stars), “Emotional Lyrics” (3 stars), “Changing Fortunes” (3 stars), and “To My Mom” (4 stars).
For this assignment I wrote a letter to my future husband of what I expect and hope for the future.
Dear Future Husband,
I dedicate this letter to the love of my life. I do not know if we will be married when you read this or before we get married. But I just need to tell you how much I love you, and what I hope for the both of us. I know I have been through a lot this year. I have also realized a lot of things. I realize that not everyone stays, and most people desire temporary relationships. I want you to know that PLEASE don’t take me for granted and don’t treat me with disrespect. This includes my family as well. I will love you unconditionally and I will completely break down if you break my trust or treat me like I am someone temporary. Please listen to me when I tell you I don’t like something…please stop, so I don’t have to remind you constantly to not repeat it. If you actually care for me, you would stop, and I wouldn’t have to tell you twice. Please…live up to my principles until you can tell me you will be with me for the rest of my life. Please….please…please…talk to me, stand by my side, and let us become attached if you are only rooting for a permanent relationship. I want you to be patient with me about anything and wait for me when I am ready to take the next step with you. If I am ever annoying or hard to deal with…please hold on to me and don’t let go. STAY! Have the will to work with me, fight for me, and handle me at my worst. BUT stay because you want to not because I ask you to. That makes all the difference in the world. I NEED you to grow with me and stay by my side always encouraging me and supporting me through thick and thin. Please don’t target my insecurities or bring me down. I want you to lift me up and tell me you love me every day. I’m not asking you to call me beautiful or praise me every day. I just want you to be by my side while I fulfill my dreams and take care of me whenever I am having a bad day. I want you to make me laugh till I’m crying while my stomach hurts. And if we ever have children, I want them to look up to us and think…”Wow…I want to treat my loved one this way and maintain my relationship as strong as theirs.” If we ever have arguments, please…PLEASE don’t talk down to me, but rather understand my concerns and respect them. I want our relationship to be worth the fight! Not just us fighting with each other. I will never target your insecurities or make you feel like you’re any less. So please, do the same with me. I want us to continue to build the love we had just like in the beginning. Accept me the way I am and accept me the first time around. I want you to know that you can trust me with all of your secrets and that you can confide in me about anything and everything. I want you to be my armor and protect me from harm. I want you to give me reassurances and show me that you love me. Hold my hand, cuddle, surprise me with your cute dates and gifts, make my breakfast in the morning, etc. I will forever be grateful and appreciative for such a loving husband. If you treat me like a queen, I will treat you like a king. I will spoil you and make you feel so incredibly special. I still have so much more to say…but for now, I will simply say that in the end, I want to feel like being in love with you is the most amazing feeling in the world. I want us to last a lifetime.
P.S- If you are reading this AFTER we got married…then just know I married you because you already proved to me that YOU WERE WORTH IT! You are worthy enough that I was able to put a ring on it. I hope you continue to love and support me unconditionally as we embark on this new journey together.😊😘🥰💍💖
For this assignment I had to choose three emotions, three songs that convey those emotions, and why it makes me feel that way.
This song is called “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars. This song released in 2014. This song makes me want to move my body every time it comes on because it’s just that good! I believe this song is really catchy and I like dancing to this song with my cousins. I remember this being one of the best dance tracks in 2014. Overall, this song makes me feel energetic by it’s groovy 70’s pop vibes.
This song is called “Say Ok” by Vanessa Hudgens. This song released in 2007. This song makes me feel really nostalgic because I used to listen to this song nonstop in my childhood. This song reminds me of the time when I was a preteen watching high school musical and just enjoying life with my friends and family. I used to have the Wii game “Sing it.” Every time I would play that game, the first song I would sing was “Say Ok.” This song reminds me of bittersweet memories, and I love the meaning of the song.
This song is called “Flaws” by the band Vancouver Sleep Clinic. This song released in 2014. I remember hearing this song in the credits from the movie “Before We Go.” This is my favorite song. As soon as I heard the first ten seconds of this song I jumped to search for this song. I instantly fell in love. I can’t pick one emotion…this song feels like I am in a trance, it’s dreamy, it’s ethereal, it’s heavenly, and just beautiful. I chose the term “content” because I feel all the synonyms that associate with that term. I love the aura and tranquility this song makes me feel.
For this assignment I wrote a short narrative from a random fortune cookie generator.
My Fortune Cookie States: Tomorrow, take a moment to do something just for yourself.
I just got back from work, and I feel so exhausted. I laid down on my bed as I stared at the ceiling thinking “What am I doing with my life.” I work as a system analyst at Geico and work almost every day for several hours. I felt like I haven’t taken a break in forever. I took a catnap and then got in the shower before heading to the kitchen to cook dinner. My two girls came running down the hallway already demanding cookies and candy before dinner as usual. I start to cook dinner and my husband hugs me from behind and kisses the back of my head. I thought to myself “Gosh, this is what I really need right now.” He gave me a shoulder massage and insisted he help cook dinner. I let him help out while I situated the kids at the dinner table. After we ate, I helped the girls with their homework and crashed into bed. My husband noticed how stressed out I was today and convinced me to take off the work the next day so I could have some me time.
The next morning, I woke up and decided to take off of work and go to the spa. I remembered my friend gave me a gift card to the spa for my birthday. I drove to the spa and later decided to go shopping. I realized I haven’t shopped for myself in so long. I bought jewelry, some outfits, and treated myself to dinner. After I came home, I saw my husband with flowers. He begins to tell me how much he appreciates what I do for the family and made me dessert! He even helped the girls with their homework and put them to bed on time. I realized that I should pamper myself once a week. Whether it’s going out to shop, have a date night with just the two of us, taking a bubble bath, or even just cuddling up and watching a movie. Self-care is just as important as taking care of my family.
For this assignment I wrote a thank you letter to my mother.
Mommy. The first thing that I want to say is that I love you sooooooooooooooo much!!!!! You are my cutie pie, my boo boo, my everything. I cannot express how much I appreciate you. I just cannot express how grateful I am to have you as my mother. You did so much for me and took care of me and guided me with everything. I love that you are so kind and compassionate. I look up to you. When you grow older, I will take really good care of you just like you took care of me. I will not leave your side and I will support you in your old age. I will provide my shoulder for you to lean on and everything you do will not go unnoticed. You are so beautiful and intelligent I wish I were just like you! Thank you for your words of encouragement and being there for me whenever I needed you. I am unable to express the gratitude I have for all that you have done. I love your warm hugs and kisses. You are my superhero, my supermom!
With Tons Of Love,
